Reasonable welding sequence is critical, and attention should be paid to shortening the length of each repair welding. Welding in a reasonable sequence can not only narrow the scope of heat affected zone and reduce the degree of uneven temperature distribution but also make the stress and deformation tend to be uniform. Generally, according to the crack location, crack length, and other conditions, the segmented backward method, segmented reverse symmetry method, and segmented staggered skip method are used to repair the screening machine. For the parts that need to be filled with more metal, the multi-layer surfacing can be used.
(1) Step back method. It is often used for welds with short cracks. Before welding the screening machine, divide the weld into appropriate segments, mark the sequence, and move backward. The repair welding of the weld edge section shall be carried out from the end of the crack to the center, and the welding of other sections shall be carried out in the way of an end-to-end connection.
(2) Segmental reverse symmetry method. It is mostly used for the weld with long cracks in the screening machine. The weld shall be divided into several symmetrical segments, and the sequence shall be marked for repair welding. During the repair welding of the screening machine, sections 1 and 2 start at the crack center and are welded from both sides to the center. The other sections are welded by the method of an end-to-end connection.
(3) Step by step. This repair welding process is basically the same as the above two methods. It also divides the weld into many sections and tries to start welding at the lower temperature of the base metal of the weld.
(4) Repair welding of leafy cracks. When repairing and welding the blade cracks of the screening machine, different measures should be taken according to the position of the cracks on the weldment and the situation of the branch lines. In principle, the short branch lines should be repaired first, and then the long main lines should be repaired; Secondly, segmented welding or skip welding shall be selected according to the crack length, and welding shall be carried out according to the cold welding process without preheating.
